YOUR ASSIGNMENT: "connected in the in between"

For this Photoshop Assignment, you are to create an original image and based on the phrase "Connected In The In Between."  It is a very relevant topic related to the COVID-19 pandemic and what self-isolation means to you now.

SAFETY DISCLAIMER: DO NOT GO INTO PUBLIC TO CREATE THIS. DO NOT HIRE MODELS. DO NOT USE CREW. DO NOT BE STUPID. FOLLOW YOUR LOCAL LAWS AND STAY INSIDE. PLEASE PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND CREATE THIS IMAGE WITH THOSE YOU ARE QUARANTINED WITH. DO NOT INVITE PEOPLE OVER FOR THIS. DO NOT BE AN IDIOT. STAY ALONE. STAY SAFE.

During this time of self-isolation, quarantine, pandemic, and tragedy, we think it's essential to interpret what this time means to you and, if you can, create something you are proud of. History is happening around us... how will future generations understand, look at, and try to grasp what happened here?

You can interpret the assignment in any way you want, but your image should somehow, in your own creative way, convey what this time means to you. It is vague. It is broad. It could be a self-portrait of how you feel, you could use inanimate objects that convey a connection from apart, you can use stock photos or you can create your own assets indoors.

The image must somehow relate to the phrase above. It can't just "look cool."

Interpret at your own risk, but remember that you are being judged like you were hired to do this, and we are the client. There are many ways you can achieve this.

The image itself should help tell the story through your imagination, creativity, and technical abilities in Photoshop. You will be graded on 4 main categories: Emotion, Relevance, Props/Styling, and Technical Photoshop Ability for originality.

You may use any stock photography from sites like UNSPLASH https://unsplash.com/ Please be sure to only use images that are public domain, or you have the rights or license to use. NO STEALING! All finalists will be asked to submit the images used for their creation before the announcement of the top 3 awards.

We have already learned that our audience is internet sleuths, so don't try stealing another artists' idea... because they will catch you. If using and combining images from stock sites, there should be a significant change in the sourced image's ideas and expression.
